Storyboard and previs software for film

Every frame is a shot on your shot list. Add photos, sketches or previs stills to a shot, read the sequence in a line or in a grid, and export a PDF with the shot data under each frame.

Reorder the frames and the shot list follows.

One panel per shot, as many images as you need

A panel shows the image with the shot number, type, lens, movement and description under it. Add several images to a shot and swipe through them.

Change the lens on the panel and the shot list has it too.

The storyboard is the shot list, seen as pictures

A frame added on the storyboard shows in the shot list, and a shot added in the list gets an empty panel waiting for its image.

Drag a panel into another scene and the shot moves with it.

The same frames on the AV script

For commercials, the frames sit beside each row of the two-column AV script, so the client sees the picture next to the voice-over.

Share it by link, and the client comments and approves row by row.

  • A line or a grid

Read the sequence in a line, or open the grid for the whole script, grouped by scene.

  • PDF for the room

Export the storyboard as a PDF, one scene or the whole script, with the shot data under every frame.

  • Images added on set sync when you are back online

Add a location photo from a phone with no signal. It shows at once, uploads when the connection returns, and appears on every device on the project.

What's on a panel

  • Shot number and shot type
  • One image or several
  • Lens and movement
  • The shot description
  • Images from your phone, your desktop or the project media library
  • The same frame in the shot list and on the AV script

How it works

  1. 1

    Build the shot list

Or populate it from the script. Every shot gets a panel.

  2. 2

    Add the images

Tap a panel and pick an image from your device or the media library.

  3. 3

    Read it and print it

A line for the sequence, a grid for the overview, a PDF for the room.

What Directors & Producers Say

Common questions

Do I draw the frames in CineLog?

CineLog keeps the frames with the shots. Draw on paper or in any drawing app, photograph the location, or render a previs still, then add the image to the shot.

What is previs in CineLog?

The images on a shot: a sketch, a location photo, a frame from a 3D previs tool or a reference still. Each shot can hold several.

Does the storyboard change the shot list?

Yes, they are the same shots. Drag a panel to another scene and the shot moves. Edit the lens on a panel and the list shows it.

What is on the PDF?

Each frame with its shot number, type, lens, movement and description, one scene or the whole script, portrait or landscape.

What does it cost?
