Shooting schedule software for film

Your scenes become strips, colored by INT or EXT and day or night. Drag them into shoot days, and each day becomes a call sheet with the times worked out.

The board and the shot list share the same days, so a change in one shows in both.

A production board, the way it has always worked

One strip per scene: number, set, INT or EXT, time of day, cast numbers, page length, start time and estimate, in the classic board colors.

Press and hold a strip and drag it: within a day to reorder, to another day to move it, into Unscheduled to take it off the board.

The same days as the shot list

Assign shots to a day in the shot list and the scene's strip appears on the board. Split a scene across two days and the board shows both parts.

Once the shots carry times, the strip's estimate is their sum.

Each day becomes a call sheet

The day's set, scenes, cast and start times are already on the sheet. Set the crew call and send.

Move a scene to another day and the sheet follows.

  • Times that cascade from the crew call

Every strip gets a start time from the crew call and the estimates above it. Pin a start time and the strips below follow.

A day that does not fit turns red where it breaks.

  • Lunch and company moves on the board

Add a banner for lunch, a company move or an equipment change. It shifts everything after it and prints on the call sheet.

  • Print the board

Export the stripboard as a PDF with your company logo, for the whole shoot or a range of days.

What's on a strip

  • Scene number, with the part when a scene is split
  • Set name
  • INT or EXT and time of day
  • Cast numbers
  • Page length in eighths
  • Start time and estimate
  • The board color, or your own

How it works

  1. 1

    Put shots on days

Assign shots to shoot days in the shot list, or drag strips onto a day.

  2. 2

    Order the days

Drag strips into shooting order. Add lunch and company moves.

  3. 3

    Send the call sheets

Open the day. The call sheet is already filled in from the board.

What Directors & Producers Say

Common questions

How do I split a scene across two days?

In the shot list for the day, drag a shot out of its scene. The board shows the scene as two parts and moves them independently. When they land next to each other again, they merge back.

Where do the start times come from?

From the crew call on the day's call sheet. Each strip starts when the one above it ends. Pin a start time on any strip and the ones below follow from there.

Can I change the strip colors?

Yes. The classic set is white for interior day, yellow for exterior day, blue for interior night and green for exterior night. Pick your own for each if your production reads a different set.

Does the crew see the board?

Everyone you invite with access to the shot list sees the schedule, on every device, as it changes. Who can move strips follows their role.

What does it cost?

The free plan includes one project with every tool, the schedule included. Filmmaker is $15 a month and Production Company is $40 a month. On every plan, the crew you invite does not pay for a seat.
