Cast and crew management for film productions
One cast and crew list per production, by department and role, with cast numbers from the breakdown. Contacts are kept once and put on any production from there.
The call sheet, the schedule and the project invites are built from that list.
Staffed the way a production is staffed
Every department with its standard roles, from camera and grip to art, wardrobe, cast and transportation. Add your own roles and every production in your workspace can use them.
Add a vacant slot for a key grip before you have hired one.
The call sheet reads the list
Talent in cast-number order, crew by department, phone numbers from the contacts. Nothing retyped.
Someone who only needs the call sheet stays a contact: they get the PDF by email and confirm without an account.
Cast numbers from the script
Tag the cast in the breakdown and every character gets a numbered talent slot. The numbers print on the schedule and the call sheet.
Drag the cast into a new order and the whole cast renumbers.
-
Access by role, no seat fees
Assign a contact with access on and they get an invitation. What they can see and edit follows their role.
Nobody you invite pays for a seat.
-
Contacts kept once
Email, phone and the roles they usually take. Fix a number once and every sheet that lists them has it.
Import and export contacts as CSV.
-
The list as PDF or CSV
Export the production's cast and crew with role, department, name, email and phone.
What's on the list
- Departments and roles, standard or your own
- Vacant slots for roles not hired yet
- Cast numbers and characters on talent
- Email and phone on each filled slot
- Access status: on the roster only, invited, or in the project
- A contacts view with search and filters
- Export to PDF and CSV
How it works
- 1
Add the roles
Pick from the standard list or add your own. Leave a slot vacant until it is hired.
- 2
Assign the people
Pick a contact, or add a new one. Decide whether they get access to the project or just a place on the call sheet.
- 3
Build from it
The call sheet, the schedule and the invites all read this list.
What Directors & Producers Say
Cinelog Saves Lives
"After using Cinelog on a recent commercial, our production team decided to implement it onto our feature film set. Every department was easily onboarded and being able to upload previs and our shots kept us moving."
Game Changer, don't Start Production Without it!
"I stumbled onto this app and gave it a shot, and it's completely changed how my team and I approach pre-production. Scripting, shot lists, storyboards, cast, crew, call sheets — it's all in one ecosystem, which makes team collaboration seamless and transitions us right into the production stage without missing a beat. It's clear this app was built for the film industry by people who actually work in it."
"Super useful for planning video shoots and getting everyone on the same page. I like that it can be clean and simple for smaller productions (like making a call sheet and basic shotlist), but has lots of customizability for bigger shoots too (in depth shotlist data, sending different crew members relevant info, storyboarding, etc)."
"As a commercial and film producer this app has helped my team tremendously in all our projects, either commercials or films, I can't recommend this app enough."
All in one production tool!
"I love how I have everything I need all in one place. I've been using this for all of my pre-production needs as I produce my first feature film and it's made my workflow way more efficient."
"Honestly, the best pre-production tool I’ve used so far. It’s clean, easy to use, and doesn’t overcomplicate things. I love that I can keep working on my phone even when I’m away from my PC, that flexibility is a game changer. Big thanks to the team for building something this practical and well thought out."
Incredible tool with a bright future
"CineLog is still fresh but most certainly off to the races. This tool does an incredible job of centralizing a chunk of your creative pre-production workflow items, and making them all work seamlessly with one another to help you spend less time complaining about tech and more time developing that film/commercial. Had to leave some room for improvement as the app is ever evolving and expanding with new ideas and feedback. The app creators have certainly done a fabulous job here so far and it's absolutely worth diving into for your next project."
Common questions
Do my crew need accounts?
Only the people who work inside the project. They make a free account when they accept the invite, and only the project owner pays. Anyone who just needs the call sheet stays a contact and gets the PDF by email.
Can I control what each person sees?
Yes, by role. Each role in a project has its own permissions for the script, the shot list, the schedule, cast and crew, and the call sheets.
How many people can I invite?
Up to 2 with access on the free plan, 20 on Filmmaker and 50 on Production Company. The list itself has no cap, and people without access do not count.
Do contacts carry over between productions?
Yes. Contacts belong to your workspace. Put the same gaffer on the next production with a search, and the role they took last time is already on them.
What does it cost?
The free plan includes one project with every tool, cast and crew included. Filmmaker is $15 a month and Production Company is $40 a month. On every plan, the crew you invite does not pay for a seat.
