v1.2.7 - Smart Call Sheet Creation

May 4, 2026 v1.2.7

Creating a new call sheet shouldn’t feel like a chore. It should be fast. But we noticed a lot of people tend to get stuck re-typing the exact same locations and crew lists day after day, so we decided to automate the busywork.

What I usually like to do when planning a multi-day shoot is carry over the core crew and locations from the previous day. So we built that directly into CineLog. When you create a call sheet for a new production day, the app automatically looks at your previous call sheets and fills in the blanks.

If your new scenes share a location with a previous day, the address, parking information, and nearest hospital are carried forward automatically. You don’t have to look them up again. The same goes for your crew. The system identifies your core team and pre-populates them with their call times preserved. If you don’t have talent assigned to a shot yet, it brings in the talent from matching previous days as a starting point.

The key here is that everything remains fully editable. You still have complete control. The pre-population just saves you from starting with a blank slate.

We also made a few updates to keep your sessions stable. If you are working in the app for a long time and your session expires, CineLog now quietly refreshes it in the background. If for some reason it can’t renew, you get a clear notification with a one-tap button to log back in. And if your connection drops and a change can’t save, you’ll see a quick notification instead of wondering if it worked.

A quick exercise before your next shoot: try generating your Day 2 call sheet right after you finish Day 1. You should see all your common data flow right in.
