v1.2.6 - Rich Text Messages & Email Tracking

May 3, 2026 v1.2.6

Communication is the backbone of any set. You want everyone on the exact same page before they even show up to location, which usually means leaving a clear, specific note for the crew right on the call sheet.

The next thing we added is a rich text editor for your crew messages. You can now use bold, italic, and underline formatting to make the important parts stand out. We also set up a curated color palette so the text stays readable in the email. And if you need to show them a map or a reference, you can embed images directly into the message body.

But sending the email is only the first step. You need to know if they opened it. So we built real-time delivery tracking into the Sendouts screen. You can see the exact status of every email: if it is queued, delivered, opened, or if it bounced. We moved the status column to the front so it is the first thing you see.

Another big thing is managing your shot list on the fly. A lot of people tend to get stuck when they need to drop a new scene right into the middle of their day. If you do that manually, you have to renumber everything. We added a new tool to insert and shift scenes automatically. You insert a scene at any position, and CineLog shifts all the subsequent scenes, shots, and items down the list for you.

Finally, we cleaned up a few layout issues on the PDF export. Location names and roles now wrap properly instead of getting cut off, and your crew list sorts by standard industry departments. We also updated the schedule engine so it handles overnight shoots past midnight without breaking the timeline.
